STOP CYBER BULLYING

Take a stand against cyberbullying

Education can help considerably in preventing and dealing with the consequences of cyberbullying. The first place to begin an education campaign is with the kids and teens themselves. We need to address ways they can become inadvertent cyberbullies, how to be accountable for their actions and not to stand by and allow bullying (in any form) to be acceptable. We need to teach them not to ignore the pain of others.

PREVENTING CYBER BULLYING

Parents and kids can prevent cyberbullying. Together, they can explore safe ways to use technology.

TRUE STORY ABOUT CYBER BULLYING - Kristina Calco's story

THE LATE KRISTINA CALCO
Have you ever been bullied, harassed, made fun of, embarassed, had a bad day, or just didn't like life from the start?
Well, this happens to everyone. In all countries, cities, towns, neighborhoods, what ever. It happens everywhere. What I meen, is mostly Bullycide.  Bullycide is when a victim commits suicide because of being bullied, untile they decide the end their lives.

EXAMPLES OF CYBER BULLYING

Below is an article taken form the Steamboat Pilot & Today News about cyber bullying.

RISK FACTORS OF BULLYING

No single factor puts a child at risk of being bullied or bullying others. Bullying can happen anywhere—cities, suburbs, or rural towns. Depending on the environment, some groups—such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered (LGBT) youth, youth with disabilities, and socially isolated youth—may be at an increased risk of being bullied.

HOW TO INDICATE IF SOMEONE IS AFFECTED BY BULLYING

There are many warning signs that may indicate that someone is affected by bullying—either being bullied or bullying others. Recognizing the warning signs is an important first step in taking action against bullying. Not all children who are bullied or are bullying others ask for help.

EFFECTS OF CYBER BULLYING ON EVERYONE

Bullying can affect everyone—those who are bullied, those who bully, and those who witness bullying. Bullying is linked to many negative outcomes including impacts on mental health, substance use, and suicide. It is important to talk to kids to determine whether bullying—or something else—is a concern.
